If your WhatsApp is hacked, act immediately because early action can stop misuse of your account. Immediate steps: Try to log in again using your mobile number Enter OTP received on your SIM to regain access This automatically logs the hacker out If you regain access: Enable two-step verification (PIN security) Go to Settings → Account → Two-step verification Change PIN and email immediately Log out from all linked devices (WhatsApp Web/Desktop) If you cannot access your account: Contact WhatsApp support immediately through the app or email Request account deactivation if needed Security steps: Check linked devices and remove unknown sessions Scan your phone for malware or unknown apps Update WhatsApp to the latest version Secure your SIM with a carrier PIN if possible Report cyber crime: Call 1930 cyber fraud helpline (if financial fraud or impersonation occurred) File complaint on cyber crime portal Inform local cyber police station Legal action (if misuse happens): Offences may fall under: Information Technology Act, 2000 (identity theft, unauthorized access) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (cheating, impersonation, fraud, harassment) Preventive measures: Never share OTP with anyone Enable two-factor authentication Do not click unknown links Keep SIM and email secure Important: WhatsApp accounts are tied to your SIM number, so regaining SIM control usually restores your account quickly.

Dear Client, If you suspect your Whatsapp account has been hacked your immediate priority is to regain control and secure your digital identity first re register your Whatsapp by entering your phone number and verifying it with the 6 digit SMS code sent to your SIM. This action will automatically log out the hacker from your account as Whatsapp can only be active on one device at a time, if the hacker has enabled 2 step verification to block your access you will need to wait 7 days to access your account without that code or provide the recovery email you previously linked. Once you regain access you must immediately perform A security check to prevent the hacker from returning go to Settings then Linked Devices and remove any unknown devices computers or tablets listed there. Further enabled two step verification by creating a unique 6 digit PIN and linking a recovery email address. This provides an important second layer of defence, you should also notify your family in close contacts immediately through other channels like phone call to warn them that if they receive any messages from your number requesting money OTP or sensitive information, they should ignore it. Finally, if the hacker has used your account to fraud someone or access sensitive data you must document the incident thoroughly. Take screenshots of any suspicious activity note the timing and report the incident to National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or by calling the Cyber Crime Helpline at 1930, reporting the breach creates a legal record that can be essential if the hacker uses your identity to commit further crimes. I hope this answer helps, if you have any further query kindly do not hesitate to contact us. Thankyou
