Here are the steps you can take to address your situation: Gather evidence: Collect all the documents that support your claim to the land. This could include land deeds, receipts for property taxes, and any other relevant documents that show that your family has been in possession of the land for the past 70 years. Consult with an attorney: Find a local attorney who specializes in property law and explain your situation to them. They can advise you on your legal options and help you determine the best course of action. Consider legal action: Depending on the circumstances, you may be able to file a lawsuit to reclaim the land or seek compensation for the spending amount on the land. Your attorney can help you decide if this is a viable option. Negotiate: You may want to try negotiating with your uncle or the new buyer to reach a settlement. This could involve coming to an agreement on compensation for the land or finding a way to share ownership of the property. Seek mediation: If negotiations break down, you may want to consider mediation. This involves bringing in a neutral third party to help facilitate a resolution that is acceptable to both parties. Prepare for trial: If you decide to pursue legal action, you will need to prepare for trial. Your attorney will help you gather evidence, prepare your case, and represent you in court. Attend trial: Attend the trial with your attorney and present your case. The outcome of the trial will depend on the evidence and arguments presented by both sides, as well as the judgement of the court. It's important to note that the legal process can be complex and time-consuming, so it's important to work closely with your attorney and be prepared for a potentially lengthy process.
