Dear Client, Jamabandi record is a primary record of rights of land for many North Indian sates including Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, etc. It acts as a primary document for proof of ownership, helps in bank loans and also in the sale or purchase of land. It usually needs to be updated every 5 years and can be maintenance digital or through offline modes. It is also necessary to note the difference between Registry and Jamabandi. A registry is a contract between two people, while a Jamabandi is the official recognition of that contract. Thus, whenever there is a transfer of the land, it shall ensure to have mutation to have a clear and marketable title. I hope this helps.
