हां, हिंदू उत्तराधिकार अधिनियम, 1956 के तहत, एक बेटी के बेटे को उसकी मृत्यु के बाद उसकी मां की संपत्ति के साथ-साथ अन्य कानूनी उत्तराधिकारियों जैसे कि मां के पति, बेटे और बेटी को विरासत में पाने का अधिकार है। . बेटियों और बेटों को विरासत के समान अधिकार प्रदान करने के लिए 2005 में अधिनियम में संशोधन किया गया था। अत: यदि किसी पुत्री के पुत्र को उसकी मृत्यु के पश्चात् उसकी माता की सम्पत्ति में से उसका हक प्राप्त नहीं हुआ है तो वह अपनी विरासत का दावा करने के लिए न्यायालय में मामला दायर कर सकता है। विरासत का दावा करने के लिए उपलब्ध कानूनी प्रक्रियाओं और विकल्पों को समझने के लिए संपत्ति और विरासत कानूनों में विशेषज्ञता रखने वाले वकील से परामर्श करने की सलाह दी जाती है।
