After reporting the hacking incident, Supriya Sule received assistance from the Pune Police and the Cyber Cell. Upon reporting the issue, the police provided her with a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to file a complaint through Meta.
This process required details such as her email ID and the IMEI number of her device. By following these steps, her WhatsApp account was restored within a few hours. The investigation included reaching out to Meta for information regarding who accessed the account before it was hacked, including the IP address and the internet service used.
