How to Apply for GST Registration Step 1: Visit the GST Portal Go to the official GST portal: [https://www.gst.gov.in/](https://www.gst.gov.in/) Click on “Services” > “Registration” > “New Registration”. Step 2: Fill the Part A Form (TRN Generation) Select “Taxpayer” as the type of taxpayer. Fill in the following details: Your Legal Name as per PAN PAN Number Email address Mobile number Complete the CAPTCHA and submit. You will receive a Temporary Reference Number (TRN) on your mobile and email. Step 3: Login Using TRN Return to the GST portal homepage. Click on “Services” > “Registration” > “New Registration” > “Temporary Reference Number (TRN)”. Enter your TRN, CAPTCHA, and click on “Proceed”. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile/email for verification. After OTP verification, you can fill in Part B. Step 4: Fill the Part B Form Complete the application with details such as: Business details (trade name, constitution of business, date of commencement) Address of principal place of business and additional places, if any Details of promoters/directors (with their photographs, PAN, Aadhaar) Bank account details (cancelled cheque or bank statement) Details of business activities Details of goods and services supplied Upload all required documents (see below for list). Step 5: Submit Application with Digital Signature or Aadhaar Authentication Once all details are filled and documents uploaded, submit the application. You can sign the application with: Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) if you are a company or LLP Aadhaar-based OTP verification for proprietors and others Step 6: Acknowledgment and Verification After successful submission, you will get an Application Reference Number (ARN). The GST officer will process your application and may seek clarification if needed. If all is in order, your GSTIN (GST Identification Number) and registration certificate will be issued within 7 working days. Documents Required for GST Registration PAN card of the business or proprietor Aadhaar card of the proprietor/directors/partners Proof of business address (rent agreement, electricity bill, property tax receipt, etc.) Passport-sized photographs of promoters/directors/partners Bank account details (cancelled cheque, bank statement) Authorization letter or board resolution (if applicable) Additional Notes Registration is mandatory if turnover crosses the threshold limits or if you make interstate supplies, among other conditions. You can track your application status on the GST portal using your ARN.

Dear Client, To register for GST in India, follow these steps online through the GST Portal - www.gst.gov.in: 1. Visit the GST portal and select "Register Now" in the "Taxpayers" > "New Registration" section. 2. In Part A of the form, enter some basic details such as PAN, mobile number and email id so that you can obtain a temporary reference number (TRN). 3. In Part B of the form, using the TRN, enter business information, banking details, and upload supporting documents (PAN, Aadhaar, business address verification, and business photographs). 4. Verification: After the application is submitted with e-sign or DSC, it will be verified by the GST officer. 5. GST Registration Approval: After approval, you will receive GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) and a GST registration certificate, via email.
