सोशल मीडिया पर धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचाना और आपत्तिजनक पोस्ट करना कानूनी अपराध हो सकता है। भारत में, इसे धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचाने के लिए दंडविधि (IPC) के अंतर्गत धारा 295 ए या 295 बी में शामिल किया जाता है। इसके तहत, यदि कोई व्यक्ति धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचाता है तो उसे जुर्माना का सामना करना पड़ सकता है।
