A complaint in a consumer court in India can be filed by any of the following: A consumer: Any person who buys goods or services for personal or household use and not for resale can file a complaint in a consumer court. A registered consumer association: A registered consumer association, whose members are affected by the goods or services, can file a complaint on behalf of the consumers. The Central or State Government: The Central or State Government or any of its agencies can file a complaint on behalf of the consumers. One or more consumers, with the permission of the consumer court: In certain cases, where the complaint is of a similar nature and affects a large number of consumers, one or more consumers can file a complaint with the permission of the consumer court. It is important to note that the complaint must be filed within the applicable time limit and must be accompanied by the relevant documents and evidence to support the complaint. The consumer court will hear the complaint and may provide compensation or other relief to the consumer if it finds that there has been a deficiency in the goods or services provided.
