A trademark registration in India is initially valid for ten years from the date of filing the trademark application. After that period, it needs to be renewed to keep it in force. The renewal of a trademark registration can be done indefinitely for successive periods of ten years each. The process for renewing a trademark registration in India is as follows: Filing of Renewal Application: A renewal application needs to be filed with the Trademark Registrar within six months before the expiry of the trademark registration. The application can be filed online or manually in the prescribed form TM-R. Payment of Fees: The prescribed renewal fee needs to be paid along with the application.
