भारत में कोर्ट मैरिज के लिए पात्रता आवश्यकताएँ इस प्रकार हैं: उम्र: भारत में शादी की न्यूनतम उम्र दुल्हन के लिए 18 साल और दूल्हे के लिए 21 साल है। यदि दोनों में से कोई भी पक्ष न्यूनतम आयु से कम का है, तो न्यायालय विवाह संपन्न नहीं करेगा। मानसिक क्षमता: दोनों पक्षों को स्वस्थ दिमाग का होना चाहिए और विवाह की प्रकृति और परिणामों को समझने में सक्षम होना चाहिए। यदि कोई भी पक्ष मानसिक बीमारी या अक्षमता के कारण वैध सहमति देने में असमर्थ है, तो अदालत विवाह को संपन्न नहीं करेगी। कोई मौजूदा विवाह नहीं: कोर्ट मैरिज के समय दोनों पक्षों की मौजूदा शादी नहीं होनी चाहिए। यदि कोई भी पक्ष पहले से ही विवाहित है, तो न्यायालय विवाह संपन्न नहीं करेगा। निषिद्ध रिश्ते: हिंदू विवाह अधिनियम, विशेष विवाह अधिनियम, या किसी अन्य व्यक्तिगत कानून के तहत परिभाषित दोनों पक्षों को एक-दूसरे से निकटता से संबंधित नहीं होना चाहिए। यदि कोई भी पक्ष वर्जित संबंध में है, तो न्यायालय विवाह संपन्न नहीं करेगा। इरादे की सूचना: दोनों पक्षों को शादी की तारीख से कम से कम 30 दिन पहले निर्धारित प्रारूप में विवाह अधिकारी को शादी के इरादे की सूचना देनी चाहिए। गवाह: कोर्ट मैरिज के समय दो गवाहों का उपस्थित होना आवश्यक है, जो दोनों पक्षों की पहचान करने में सक्षम हों और विवाह प्रमाण पत्र पर उनके हस्ताक्षर प्रदान करें। यह ध्यान रखना महत्वपूर्ण है कि कोर्ट मैरिज के लिए पात्रता आवश्यकताएं राज्य और पार्टियों पर लागू व्यक्तिगत कानूनों के आधार पर थोड़ी भिन्न हो सकती हैं। योग्यता आवश्यकताओं और किसी विशेष राज्य में कोर्ट मैरिज की प्रक्रिया को समझने के लिए एक वकील या विवाह अधिकारी से परामर्श करने की सलाह दी जाती है।
