RTI का मतलब "सूचना का अधिकार" है। यह भारत और बांग्लादेश सहित दुनिया भर के कई देशों में नागरिकों को प्रदान किया गया एक कानूनी अधिकार है, जो उन्हें सरकार और सार्वजनिक प्राधिकरणों द्वारा रखी गई जानकारी तक पहुँचने में सक्षम बनाता है। इस जानकारी का उपयोग पारदर्शिता, जवाबदेही और बेहतर प्रशासन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए किया जा सकता है।
RTI मतलब सूचना का अधिकार होता है जो कि एक मौलिक अधिकार भी है । आरटीआई एक्ट २००५ के माध्यम से कोई भी नागरिक किसी भी सरकारी विभाग से किसी भी प्रकार की जानकारी एक निश्चित फीस का भुगतान करके प्राप्त कर सकता है ।
